Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Just avoid, unless you live in Finland or something. Driving in WET and Dry, just terrible grip and I have a 4x4 Subaru with LSD. It&#39;s shocking really. Unless you drive really slow, it&#39;s OK then, but come roundabout they just don&#39;t grip doesn&#39;t matter wet or dry. Good in snow, but it should be at least good in wet as well and OK in dry, but It&#39;s crap in both wet and dry, so not good for me, will not buy again.

I didn&#39;t get these on until Feb/Mar when worst of the weather had passed. Driven on main roads &amp; motorways at temps between 3&deg;c and 16&deg;c in mixed weather without problems. Obviously they were less responsive at the higher temps but never felt dangerous. No sign of wear at all. Dry road grip when accelerating lost traction a bit too easily but cornering was predictable.

Have use these tyres from 15k to 33k km (car had they when I bought it. By the time I got them, they were about one third used. Dry grip fine, wet grip for cornering, braking and traction not good at all. Because of the hard rubber though, I think they will last till at least 40k km. Wear is even, balance is maintained and tyres are still quiet at 33k km. My main issue is horrible bump thump and shock adsorption of sharper road imperfections, like speed control strips and potholes where the tyres feel like they are made up of almost solid rubber. Had resorted to running them 10 percent under recommended pressure just to live with them in this respect. Recently rode in a same car year/ model as mine running non-RFT tyres and the shock absorption capabilities are as different as night and day. Car feels like it actually has air in the tyres, not solid rubber! Will be fitting non-RFT tyres to my car soon.

I would like to say that these tyres saved our bacon this winter. We had lots of snow and ice over January and February this year and the tyres never lost an ounce of grip. Even when others were stuck and lost in snow drifts, the Scout got through. I was concerned about the wear of the tyres (bring softer than summet tyres but there was little wear showing on the Winter Tyres). Highly recommended for high speed road driving or off-road snowdrifts!

The tyres lasted about 3 weeks before one had a blow out the side wall of the tyre went on a motorway nearly caused an accident we were towed to a fast fit centre so they fitted 2 new tyres to replace the ones from mytyres I tried contacting the supplier had no answer from my email and the phone put on to a very unhelpful gentleman who took no notice of any thing I said. So I would say DON&rsquo;T buy tyres on line go to a fast fit that way if something goes wrong you can claim.

We run multiple brand new vehicles and the first thing we do is take off the existing brand new tyres and replace all of them with Nokian Seasonproof. These tyres are without doubt the best tyres we have ever used. In the dry they grip like a racing car and in the wet they grip equally as good given the weather. When it gets icy or snow on the ground there is little to touch these Tyres. They wear extremely well given their amazing traction in all conditions. I cannot begin to impress upon people how important tyres are on a vehicle. The part that connects you to the road and the component that can make the difference between a collision or not. These are the best all-round all season tyres on the market.We have covered around 100,000 miles on these in total. I don&#39;t like advertising peoples wares but in this case given how good the product is and how it alters the safety of the vehicle people need to know about them.

The tyres are Porsche recommended for my car, so it was best to fit the correct tyre, as it would have had at factory. My car had covered only 6900 miles when I purchased it. The original tyres were on the car.

Always a good idea to but the best tyres you can and these are great. Only downside is road noise which can get irritating at times

Much more traction offered from these tyres than previous 255/40 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport 2 or the Pilot Sport 1. No feeling of poorer ride quality despite lower profile. An unexpected big jump in overall performance and the traction control light barely appears at all now- compared to all the time out of junctions with sharp left turns. Must be better compound and/or tyre carcass construction.
