Tyre size:
What tyre size do you require?
The exact size of a tyre can be found on its sidewall.
The following chart shows you how to read a tyre size.
1. Overall tire width in mm
2. Ratio of tire height to tire width in%
3. Tire design: ''R'' = radial tires (widely used), ''D'' or ''-'' = diagonal tires (rare)
4. Required rim diameter for this tire in inches
5. Key figure for tire load capacity
6. Key figure for the permissible maximum speed (speed index)
7. Motorcycle tire identification, tires only approved for motorcycles
8. DOT labeling
9. Date of manufacture of the tire (week of production / year of production)

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.

Have used the tyres both on road and off road. The tyres are more capable than I am as a rider therefore dealt easily with everything I have put them through with ease.

Tyres were purchased to do some green lane riding. These are very suitable for the purpose and handle as good as road tyres when in the tarmac. Only downside is that you get around 3000 miles out of a rear tyre and it&rsquo;s done!

This tyre has been great. After initial fitting the steering was a bit strange but after 50-100 miles it felt like a road tyre. Great off road and one of the best knobbly tyres on the road. Done 10500km on the tyre, only have the tkc80 on the front. I have a 70 rocks on the rear. I believe the front will do another rear. Tyre was great but the delivery time from the provider was shocking

I&#39;m driving on city, countryside and highway. Going over 80km/h they&#39;re becoming noisy. On sport driving they have a good grip, you feel safe. When they are cold and you push them to the limit you can feel a little bit of nervous, but when they warm up they grip well. At white stripes they are slippery. At wet roads I&#39;m driving slow, im not push them. The DOT code is 3523.

I push these tyres to the limit, confidently grind the centre stand on dry roads. Great confidence and feel from these tyres. I ride very gently in the damp and wet, but am sure you could push them harder than I do in these conditions

Excellent Peice of kit. Used through winter, Great stability in the wet, salty, even icy roads, acceptable off-road too. Not so good in the dry and on long motorway work.

Bought these to replace 20 year old Avon Supervenom. Really impressed with the handling, tramlining in particular is greatly reduced. Felt confident in all weather conditions so far. Tyres have a good classic look which suits the bike. Had trouble finding suitable tyres in the right size and load capacity for a reasonable price and these are excellent.

To be honest I&#39;ve not fitted the recent one yet but as the previous tyres have been on for 3 years and perform excellently all round I have not been able to find fault with them.

This is a very comfortable tyre, I&#39;ve found that Continental tyres give a very cushioned ride and are very quiet. Wet grip seems good, and I can lean right over without a problem. They don&#39;t wear any quicker than anything else, all scooter tyres wear pretty quickly anyway. I&#39;ll buy the same again, only downside is that it was a tight fit on the rim, but the bead popped on without much of a problem L.
