Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

The tire works quite well on normal asphalt, but on dirt roads the lateral grip is poor. The tire is loud on the highway. The tire wears out really quickly, so I won&#39;t buy it again.

These tires are good, but for me, it is not because they are not 195/65/15. they are 195/64/15. So I have problems claiming a ramp because the car find under !!!

Never before had tyres only last 6500kms on my WRX thought it was my wheel alignment had that checked and it was fine massive camber ware when I&#39;m only running 0.5 neg and rear tyres are at less then 50% left so definitely would not recommend at all cheap yes gets you outta trouble but not worth it

Excellent value for money. I don&#39;t push the tyres to the limit but they easily cope with varying weather and have lasted well.

I got rid of these tyres on Week 26 of Year 2021 (2621). My Petlas Progreen PT525 tyres were purchased in Singapore in December 2020. They were manufactured in Week 34 of Year 2020 (3420). In just half a year of usage, covering a distance of 14000km, less than 1 year from manufacturing date, they started developing cracks on the sidewalls, similar to those that you would see only on tyres 5 years or older. Either the rubber was not suitable for Singapore climate resulting in the rubber drying out and &quot;dry rotting&quot;, or there was some serious QC deficiency in the manufacturing process. For safety reasons, they have since been replaced and thrown away. Such a shame considering the tyres provided decent grip in dry and wet, though the road noise and comfort were average. Those of you who are running on Petlas, suggest you check the sidewalls for cracks. Will NEVER buy nor recommend Petlas tyres to anyone again in future.
