Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Tyres can be noisy over rougher surfaces but seem to be lasting well. Not really had any snow to speak of to test them on properly but perform well enough in very wet conditions on roads. Fuel consumption seems to be slightly worse than with summer tyres fitted but not too noticeable, getting around 35mpg at each fill up - was getting 35 to 38 with previous tyres.

Worst tyre I've ever had. Despite only being on rear axle of fwd car, it seriously upset the steering. Very noisy (whiny) and took 10% off fuel economy. Did help in snow but awful in wet and dry. It's more like an off road tyre. Very good wear (unfortunately!) as only lost 1.5mm over 16000 km. had to replace them as felt unsafe.

So far so good, no snow to test so far, but in wet good... And in dry good,... Not sure of the wear yet but I&#39;ve noticed fuel consumption is very economical and the tyres are very very quiet, not as loud as the old rumbling Bridgestones, &pound; 50 x 4 tyres kwik fit &#x1F44C;&#x1F44D;

Fabulous tyres and exceptional wear, considering the price point of these, especially given my driving style. I&#39;ll definitely see over 20000 miles on these tyres which I find remarkable on a heavy car with over 400hp. Could I have better grip, sure for twice the price. Do you really need it, even for having fun on UK roads, no! They are soft rubber though, so you&#39;ll know if your alignment is out, these didn&#39;t last long on my Merc V Class!

Doing relatively high mileage of over 40k every year, I&#39;ve been through various different premium tyres over the years. Let me tell you, in the 5k miles on these tyres so far I&#39;d say they&#39;re pound for pound up there with premium tyres for everyday driving. I&#39;ve found them to be really good in the wet, no major drama with aquaplaning and my heavy right foot has encountered no issues in cornering. Strangely, I&#39;ve found that I&#39;m more confident with these in the wet than dry- they tend to be slightly unpredictable when pushing on. Not a massive issue by any means and shouldn&#39;t put anybody off, it&#39;s just highlighted by my spirited driving style! Wear seems to be decent so far, but as I said I&#39;ve only done 5k so far so too early to tell. All in all, great value for money and worth a try. On 20&#39;s, The Goodyear Eagle F1s that I had on previously were &pound;160 each, whereas I got these for &pound;115. 200 quid saved, and genuinely no worse performance. Well done Viking!

When I purchased my vehicle (preowned) it came with Nexen tyres on all four corners. I had to change the two front tyres after a few years and choose Goodyears. Last year I had to change the front tyres again because the Goodyears had worn considerably, whilst still having the same Nexens on the rear of the car since I purchased it. Hence stick with the Nexens. When I need to change the rear tyres I will definitely choose Nexens.

Though I&#39;d give these Davanti tyres a go as I&#39;ve seen a few Davanti dealers popping up all over the place. These tyres are reasonably good in snow and ice but the rest of the year it &quot;feels&quot; like you&#39;re driving on snow and ice. Very wayward and &quot;loose&quot; feel to them and a horrible bounce over 50mph like they aren&#39;t round anymore, not a wheel balance wobble but a up and down bounce which is very tiresome on longer journeys. There&#39;s a noticeable hum from the tyres like old fashioned aggressive winter tyres which changes pitch depending on angle of steering. I am a loyal supporter of winter tyres but these are like torture and not worth the grief in my opinion.

I haven&#39;t pushed the tyres any where near their limit as I drive very conservatively as an experienced driver, in a rural location, only travelling when required and choosing to drive at quiet times, and then came along Covid19. Wheel alignment was done when tyres were fitted so no abnormal wear, and last winter was only really wet and mild. So I gave them 4, they may well be 5s but I can&#39;t say.

Fitted to the vehicle already when purchased.. They are an adequate budget tyre for perhaps city driving however they are poor in the wet. Lack any feedback in more active driving and in the wet have poor grip and braking performance with significant understeer in even damp conditions with even slightly &#39;active&#39; driving. I&#39;ve removed them off the car half worn and replaced with a premium brand as I&#39;m not comfortable with their performance on mainly wet UK roads.

I bought these tires as a cheaper alternative to a Continental tire, because the grip in wet conditions was rated excellent. That seems to be true. This type of tire is designed for lower rolling resistance and increased fuel economy - often that comes with lower wet grip. Not in this case.

Damn right dangerous... had these put on less than 6 months ago, and if you drive in a slightly spirited manner the lack of grip is phenomenal. 30mph bends leave you requiring replacement underwear. And it just gets worse in the wet. Braking distances are terrible in both wet and dry, but they are comfy for 45&#39;s. These are a drift tyre in my opinion, cheap and grip less. I only have 150bhp apread across all four wheels and they still slide, I wouldn&#39;t recommend them on anything with more than 100 ponies. And if its slightly moist or greasy out, you better be good at throttle control and counter steering... at low speeds they are perfectly acceptable, but if you like to put your foot down abit I&#39;d spend some more money, we don&#39;t scrimp on safety.

Sticks well to the road on corners in all conditions at all speeds. Gives confidence. Tyre is 225/40 R18. Not size available in drop down menu here. Built in kerb protection is welcome on such low profile tyres. Good value tyres, have used this brand for years over about 500,000miles with no issues, lasting 30000 miles plus on drive axles and had 66000miles on trailing rear axle pair!

Great tyre and value for money Amazing grip and breaking in any conditions. I&#39;m aggressive and active driver with 205 BHP, and tyre never failed me. Recommended to all.

Terrible grip in dry and wet. They are dangerous due to the amount drift. I thought they were low on pressure when I first used them. Only fitted to the rear and cause back end to drift when corning at speed. I have no confidence in cornering with them. They are okay in the snow though so if you&#39;re using only in snow they should be okay.
