Fitted to the vehicle already when purchased.. They are an adequate budget tyre for perhaps city driving however they are poor in the wet. Lack any feedback in more active driving and in the wet have poor grip and braking performance with significant understeer in even damp conditions with even slightly 'active' driving. I've removed them off the car half worn and replaced with a premium brand as I'm not comfortable with their performance on mainly wet UK roads.

I bought these tires as a cheaper alternative to a Continental tire, because the grip in wet conditions was rated excellent. That seems to be true. This type of tire is designed for lower rolling resistance and increased fuel economy - often that comes with lower wet grip. Not in this case.

Been pleased with these Nexen tyres, perform well in snow and ice here in Scotland.
11.04.2022fromKS
Fuel economy and comfort seem fine, grip on wet roads is pretty terrible, wheelspin going uphill and lift-off oversteer are something I’ve never experienced in this car in 200km of ownership until I fitted these tyres. Will be going back to Blizzaks for winter.
29.04.2020fromMark
We purchased these tyres for use in the ski season in the alps. They were excellent, the car gripped and stopped well. I never had to use snow chains. I would buy them again but I have no points of reference as to how they compare against other tyres.
10.05.2019fromMatt Henson
I was surprised how good these tyres are, winter tyres are never supreme performers in the wet and when they let go, you do notice! Tread ware is awesome, they are lasting a lot longer than summer tyres (perhaps because you can't push them as hard and a standard D5 can dump too much power on the front wheels) They are quiet but essentially they work well on snow and ice. The car steering was more responsive from day one and the braking distance was very much improved, tyre noise is down on most of the other ones I have used, overall I am very pleased with these tyres.

Very good tyres for the prize. I can compare them only to my winter tyres (Hankook W442). Dry handling/braking is obviously better, but this is to be expected. The are noisier and the comfort is not that good, but is still ok.

I can’t yet comment on grip in snow and ice, as I haven’t yet driven it in those conditions, although I did buy these tyres to be able to drive in any conditions, all year round. These tyres are only on the front of the car, as these were the only All Season tyres of the correct size for the front of this car. The rear tyres are a larger size, and I have a different make of All Season tyres on the back. The car drive’s perfectly with the tyres I have fitted, and it feels very grippy, and quiet, under all conditions. I am very impressed with these tyres and I’m confident they will be excellent in snowy and icy conditions as well. It is too early to cont on wear and MPG, but that is not an issue for me.
25.08.2023fromMalcolm Ash
Excellent tyres, have used these tyres on many types of vehicles over the years and they have performed superbly. They are my go to tyre.
01.06.2022fromMarky L
Whilst the grip is good in snow, these tyres really struggle to get the torque down to the road from the the 1.4 Hybrid 215PS during acceleration when the surface is wet OR dry. It's particularly bad in the wet, where the wheels spin easily. Even on the electric motor drive only, a dab of the throttle to over 80% power sets the wheels spinning at low speed. The Michelin Pilot's that were fitted as standard have much better grip on the wet roads than the Nexen. Therefore I wouldn't class the Nexen as "all season". It should really be classed as a winter tyre only. I wouldn't like to run these tyres all year round due to the inferior grip in most conditions (except snow of course). I wouldn't buy this brand if I wanted an all-weather tyre again. I'd purchase a proper winter tyre and swap around in the seasons as I've had to do with these anyway!
04.06.2020fromRaf
Overall good tyres. Slightly noisy but not to extend. This is what you would get from all-weather tyre - bit of all. Not most economical on fuel consumption again this is all-weather tyre which is not as good Michelin Cross climate but good for its price.

When I purchased my vehicle (preowned) it came with Nexen tyres on all four corners. I had to change the two front tyres after a few years and choose Goodyears. Last year I had to change the front tyres again because the Goodyears had worn considerably, whilst still having the same Nexens on the rear of the car since I purchased it. Hence stick with the Nexens. When I need to change the rear tyres I will definitely choose Nexens.

I was not sure about purchasing these tyres at 1st, but I'm pleased I gave them a go as they have performed brilliantly, Even tyre wear all the way around, kept good shape and performed very well.

Always use this brand and model of tires. Because of its durability, and reliability. Best for me.

- Pretty good-short-braking and grip. In both wet and dry. Also, very good road feedback. - Comfort, economy, and quite tyres. With pretty good quality and price. - I will buy it again and again, for real. -Highly recommend it for me.

Excellent tyres, have used these tyres on many types of vehicles over the years and they have performed superbly. They are my go to tyre.

Overall good tyres. Slightly noisy but not to extend. This is what you would get from all-weather tyre - bit of all. Not most economical on fuel consumption again this is all-weather tyre which is not as good Michelin Cross climate but good for its price.

Nexen tyres - the brand behind these quality tyres

Nexen tyres are sold in over 100 countries. In 1956 the company founded in 1942 in South Korea put its first tyre on the market and went public 20 years later. A short time later Nexen cooperated with Michelin and started producing radial tyres. 2003 the last Nexen diagonal tyre rolled off the line - since then the brand primarily offers ultra high performance tyres and products for SUVs. Since 2008 they are available in Europe as well, which has boosted sales tidy. The summer and winter tyres are claimed as "tyres the next generation" with an excellent price-performance ratio. However, Nexen focuses not only on the target group of ambitious drivers, but also on eco-friendly tyres.

Performance and eco-friendly tyres by Nexen

If you are looking for both performance and eco-friendly tyres, you might want to turn to the trusted experts at Nexen. The N'blue eco has up to 20 per cent less rolling resistance than similar products helping to save fuel. In size 215/65 R16 it is rated as good as "B" on the EU tyre label. The HTX RH5 is a Nexen tyre for high performance SUVs. Its self-cleaning tread improves the handling characteristics offroad and the silence system makes driving on tarmac more comfortable. This makes the tyre universally usable. You can order it and other Nexen tyres on autopink-shop.ie with free shipping. To do this, select the desired tyre size for all the available models. Read the test reports about the quality of the tyres and choose the product that will meet your needs. In particular, perfect fit is important as is the case with all tyres purchased on our site. That is what you should choose the Nexen wheels that were made for your vehicle. We can also help with local fittings if need be.
