At first I thought these were dream tires. They really are great except for tread wear. And (at least with this RWD car) they're not going to make you happy in any kind of snow or ice situation. This being my 6th set of tires purchased from Tire Rack--and having just purchased my 7th set from them--I thought collecting something on the 45,000 mile warranty would be reasonably painless. FORGET THE WARRANTY. At 23,900 miles, I'm down to 5/32" of tread, the wonderful wet-traction and non-hydroplaning characteristics are gone, the ride has become rough, and the road noise has become stupid. It's illegal in WA to drive at 2/32", and according to the sheet they email you Tire Rack wants me to wear 'em right down to 2/32" before they will honor the warranty. Talk to them on the phone and they're tough as nails when you want some warranty love. Oh...did I tell you they also want me to FedEx the tires at my expense to them? I realize that a 23,900 mile life on a high-end tire like this isn't unusual. But, as a selling point, the promise is 45,000, so hey... My next 7 sets of tires are not going to come from Tire Rack.
