At 46,000 miles I needed to replace the factory fitted Michelins on my Lexus RX350. The best price I got was from Factory Tire Outlet, Bradenton. The owner questioned my desire for Michelins and recommended Milestar. He said they had a better mileage rating and were much cheaper – so I took his advice and had four fitted. Ten months later, at 60,000 miles, one tire went bad and had to be replaced. The cost was pro-rated (somewhat), but I still had to pay for balancing and all the other fees. Ten months later at 64,500 miles the other three tires went bad and had to be replaced. I now have four new tires, but they have cost me another $398.00 for pro- rated tires, balancing, state fees, disposal and taxes. The owner of Factory Tire outlet just suggested it was a bad batch and took my money.
I wrote to the manufacturer and asked them for some help with this and all they did was send me a copy of the warranty and suggested I read it.
I have been happy with many tires in the past, including Goodyear and Firestone and would have been better off paying out for Michelins as I had intended.
Think carefully before choosing Milestar.
