Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Two trips to the alps and performed brilliantly. The snow that fell in the south this winter was a great test and the tires were out standing passing abandoned 4x4&#39;s with ease.

They replaced runflats so a world apart in comfort terms. Bought primarily for winter grip and they have lived up to expectations. RWD BMWs are not famous for being good in the snow but with the Nokians fitted the car has been fine.

The Nokian WR A4 winter tyre is a superb tyre and certainly underestimated in the tyre world. The grip is excellent in both the dry and the wet and unbelievable in the snow! I had so much fun when we had the heavy snow and the car drove like it was in the dry. It also very quiet compared to the other winter tyres I have owned and is very good value for money; I can&rsquo;t rate this tyre highly enough.

Terrible grip in dry and wet. They are dangerous due to the amount drift. I thought they were low on pressure when I first used them. Only fitted to the rear and cause back end to drift when corning at speed. I have no confidence in cornering with them. They are okay in the snow though so if you&#39;re using only in snow they should be okay.

So far so good, no snow to test so far, but in wet good... And in dry good,... Not sure of the wear yet but I&#39;ve noticed fuel consumption is very economical and the tyres are very very quiet, not as loud as the old rumbling Bridgestones, &pound; 50 x 4 tyres kwik fit &#x1F44C;&#x1F44D;
