Identify the size of your tyre
The exact dimensions of a tyre can be found on the sidewall printed mark. The graphic shows how to read properties and dimensions of the tyre:

SPEED INDEX:
The speed index indicates the maximum speed intended for the tyre. Up to this value, the manufacturer guarantees optimum operation with the appropriate tyre pressure. The maximum speed allowed for this vehicle is given in the vehicle owner's manual; this information can be used to select the appropriate speed index for the tyre. The speed index is the last mark on the sidewall of the tyre.
 
Load Index
Permissible maximum axle load per tyre in kg. To be found in the registration certificate or vehicle registration document or read directly from the tyre (two-digit number). It is permitted to fit a tyre with a higher load index.
 
Driving safety despite puncture
Runflat tyres are puncture-resistant tyres with reinforced sidewalls. This creates the so-called run-flat property. In the event of damage, this allows the vehicle to continue driving up to a distance of approx. 100 km (and even beyond depending on the product) at a maximum speed of 80 km/h, even if the pressure has been completely lost. Run-flat tyres even prevent the tyre rubber from jumping off the rim in the event of a loss of air pressure. A flat tyre is therefore still a flat tyre, but it loses some of its drama. Note: All run-flat tyres are marked with the symbol "RSC" (Runflat System Component) and may only be fitted in vehicles with a functioning air pressure control system!
 
Tyres with increased load capacity
Reinforced tyres are designed for higher loads than normal tyres. They can be identified by the designation 'RF' (reinforced) or also 'XL' or 'Extra Load'. They are used on vans, minibuses, off-road vehicles, etc. However, their mounting alone does not automatically result in higher load capacity but also requires a correspondingly higher air pressure. Furthermore, the load capacity index specified in the vehicle documents continues to apply.
 
Tyres with extra high load capacity
The "C" in the term C tyres stands for "commercial". These tyres are specially designed for commercial vehicles. These can be, for example, lighter trucks, delivery vans, flatbed trucks or panel vans. In other words: vehicles that have to move higher loads at a comparatively lower speed. The multi-ply reinforced C tyres are therefore even more load-bearing than reinforced tyres.
 
Mobility-optimised tyres
A tyre with a sealing layer on the opposite side of the tyre tread. In the event of a puncture (e.g. by a nail), this layer blocks any loss of air, even if the foreign body causing the puncture is still in the tyre. It is not necessary to stop or change the tyres immediately at the roadside.

Original equipment quality: optimum adjustment to the vehicle
Tyres with a special OEM marking on the sidewall, e.g. "MO" for Mercedes-Benz, were developed in cooperation with a specific car manufacturer and the tyre industry. These tyres have been homologated by the vehicle manufacturer and are a perfect match for a specific model. They have been specially designed to highlight or further improve the performance characteristics of the car in question, thus representing the culmination of a state-of-the-art fine-tuning process that perfectly complements the latest technological developments in the automotive industry. Tyres with manufacturer's markings can of course also be used on other vehicles.

I bought these tyres as they are the only ones on the market that claim to be specifically designed for electric vehicles and are carbon neutral in their manufacture. Lots of claims made by Michelin regarding low noise levels, grip, wear and increased range. I can confirm that the tyres live up to these claims in all respects. I have driven around 1200 miles in mixed road and weather conditions and have been very impressed. My eGolf was always a quiet car, but now it&rsquo;s almost silent with little or no road noise below 50mph. Braking and handling in wet or dry, good roads or bad, is exceptional. My average range previously was around 150 miles from a full charge, now it&rsquo;s 160 miles, remarkable. I absolutely recommend these tyres for electric vehicles.

These tyres perform superbly in winter conditions, and are my go-to winter tyre, reviewed on a Quattro S5, but I&#39;ve used the same tyre on a RWD C250, and they were great on both (even more essential on the RWD car in the cold, in fact). They provide top-tier grip in all cold conditions, and are only slightly noisier and slightly &#39;harsher&#39; (more bumps) than the summer tyres on the car, which is good going for a winter tyre. They are pricey, but wear well, I have used them for a full winter season, and they will do several more. Well worth the investment in my opinion.

Range does decrease a little with the Tesla which may be a combination of software range prediction and actual range reduction due to factors like rolling resistance. The latter to be expected with Winter Tyres

I changed from SuperSports to Alpine P4A&#39;s because I live in a hilly area in the country, and in the winter mornings it can get dicey going down the hill. Although I never used these in full on snow, during the winter months I never once had any scary moments like I would normally. I also noted that at motorway speeds these handled rainfall and taking standing water at speed much better, although not as good as the other car&#39;s all seasons tires since these are far wider. I would recommend them, however I would note that you do lose some steering feel at the limit of corners, and off the line traction on hotter days (7c+) was compromised compared to normal SuperSports. A worthy trade-off for the morning and storm confidence in my opinion.

I had Pirelli Sottozero serie ii on my last car and they were awful, but did allow me to get up the drive when covered in snow. These Alpin PA4 ZP&#39;s ride much better, grip much better and just don&#39;t really feel like a compromise unless you are really pressing on, when a summer tyre would be better. (I don&#39;t really push it when temperatures are sub zero.) 5 stars for dry grip, given its a winter tyre.

When I bought the car in September last year it had recently been fitted with Kumho Ecsta PS71. These were quite skippy on the wet roads despite being marketed as a good performer in wet conditions. Since fitting the CrossClimate 2&#39;s I have had far better grip in the wet and winter conditions. We have had loads of rain, flooded roads then ice and then a week of snow. These tyres give confidence in these conditions and help improve the safety of your drive in those conditions. Will buy again.

When I bought my BMW 3 series I had off brand summer tyres on it. I bought Michelin Crossclimate 2 tyres for it and noticed the difference in the handling on dry roads immediately. The car was much firmer and secure on the road when driving at speed. When driving in the torrential wet I found these tyres to struggle a bit but general rain fall they are fine. Took a year and a half before I got serious snow to test them in. I had to drive home 30 miles on rural roads at 5am with no snow tracks to help and to make things harder I was in a rear wheel BMW. These tyres handle it perfectly, they are incredible in snow. Finally, I am a year and a half/ 10000 miles into them and they easy have another 7K/8K worth of miles in them. 5 stars all round, I&#39;m buying them again no question.

Grip on wet roads is excellent. No snow since purchase, so can only estimate it as very good. Comfortable ride, but slightly noisier than a regular tyre. Car handles very well on the Crossclimates.

Noisy piece of crap. Above 110km/h changes your vehicle into vibrating boat you cannot steer safely on highway. First and last Goodride (Westlake) that I ever purchased. Avoid that chinese garbage!

This was the second time I have purchased this set of winter tyres. Winter 2023 I drove across Czech republic where a heavy snowfall suprised us on the way. With those tyres absolutely no problem, felt safe.

Tyres have performed well so far it&#39;s still early January so haven&#39;t been able to test their performance in the snow yet but they feel reasuring in the wet the car needed tyres when we brought it so a wear comparison will be difficult but I expect then to wear quicker than standard tyres as the compound is bound to be softer on a winter tyre

Gute Reifen, siehe meine Sternebewertung. Warum ich hier schreibe, hat einen anderen Grund. Der Reifen hat EU Label B f&uuml;r N&auml;sseeigenschaften, was bedeutet, dass der Reifen bei N&auml;sse gut ist. Das trifft meiner Meinung nach zu, er ist gut. Gut ist besser als durchschnittlich und logischweise deutlich besser, als schlecht. Es gibt x Tests, die etwas anderes als das EU Label behaupten und sagen, er sei schlecht. Meine Bitte daher, wer auch immer zust&auml;ndig ist: entweder das EU Label ist Unfug, oder die Tests. Beides passt bei diesen Reifen nicht zusammen. Vielleicht fallen sie auch sehr unterschiedlich aus oder passen zu manchen Autos gar nicht. Also nochmal mein pers&ouml;nliches Fazit: ich suchte g&uuml;nstige Reifen mit Berge Label, also offizielle Winterreifen, die bei N&auml;sse gut sind. I have already 12000 km with this tires and the feeling is very good, even drove with 130 on highway on light rain without any problems, drove on ice roads and it was ok. I gave 4 stars on the show grip because I did not test them yet on show... but overall are very good!

Damn right dangerous... had these put on less than 6 months ago, and if you drive in a slightly spirited manner the lack of grip is phenomenal. 30mph bends leave you requiring replacement underwear. And it just gets worse in the wet. Braking distances are terrible in both wet and dry, but they are comfy for 45&#39;s. These are a drift tyre in my opinion, cheap and grip less. I only have 150bhp apread across all four wheels and they still slide, I wouldn&#39;t recommend them on anything with more than 100 ponies. And if its slightly moist or greasy out, you better be good at throttle control and counter steering... at low speeds they are perfectly acceptable, but if you like to put your foot down abit I&#39;d spend some more money, we don&#39;t scrimp on safety.
